Dear Students and Parents,

I want to Thank You from the bottom of my heart for a FANTASTIC year! I have so enjoyed working with each and every child this year. It is hard to believe that we only have three days left together. Last Friday the final newsletter went home with your child. I encourage you to hang onto the last page, as it has general school supplies listed for the 2010/2011 school year. Many stores such as Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. have their big sale on school supplies in July! Final Report Cards will be going home this Wednesday.

This week we will be tying up loose ends. The children will have their final Book Club meeting on Tuesday. We will also learn the remaining cursive capital letters and do some hands on Science. Monday will be "Beach Reading Day." Students may bring a beach towel in to help "soak up" the pages in their novels. We will also have Yearbook autographing time available for the children. Tuesday is "Game Day." Students may bring in a board style game or cards to play with classmates. NO Gameboys, Nintendos, balls, or toys in general. This is to be a socialization time for the children. Wednesday, our last day, (SOB!) will be our class breakfast party and craft day.

I also want to thank our WONDERFUL room mother, Mrs. Kremerer, for everything she has done for the class this year. We have had outstanding parties, a wonderful Fall Festival basket, and the coolest class t-shirts in the entire school!  I also want to thank the parents who are always there to help her when she needs volunteers! Last, but absolutely not least, I want to thank our Adopt-a-Class Sponsors for this year... "Grandmas Rock"! Both Mrs. Shelia Luke and Mrs. Peggy Mitchell, have given our children the opportunity to have fun craft activities and hands-on materials to work with during this year. All of you make a difference in what our children are taking from this school year!

So, for the final time, I just want to say, thank you again for the blessings you have given me this year. Have a wonderful summer break!
